Reliant Stadium Tickets – Houston Boasts Events As Big As The State Of Texas

Posted by on Sep 8, 2010

They say that everything’s bigger in Texas, and Houston is the largest city in the Lone Star State, not to mention the fourth-largest city in the U.S. With that much size and a whole lot of personality to boot, Houston hosts some of the world’s biggest performers on its many stages. The NBA’s Houston Rockets and the NFL’s Houston Texans call the city home (among other sports teams), and Houston is also the site of the annual Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

Whether visiting the NASA/Johnson Space Center, located just 23 miles south of Houston, or attending one of the 21,000 concerts, plays and other art programs presented in the city each year (according to the Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau), Houston is the place to be this spring-or any time of year!

Boasting 71,500 seats, Houston’s Reliant Stadium sure is a Texas-sized venue! Along with being home to the city’s resident NFL team, Reliant Stadium hosts the annual Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, which will take place March 2 through March 21. When you get Reliant Stadium tickets online you will have access to see some of your favorite country stars live!

This year, Rodeo Houston has wrangled country music’s brightest stars like Alan Jackson, Dierks Bentley, Kenny Chesney, Mary J. Blige, Jason Aldean, Tim McGraw, Darius Rucker, Rascal Flatts, Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, Blake Shelton, Brooks & Dunn, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum and Eli Young Band to perform. Rodeo Houston’s 2010 lineup has even expanded beyond the boundaries of country into the realm of pop, as the Black Eyed Peas, Jonas Brothers, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber will also be performing at Houston’s Reliant Stadium during the annual Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

Tim McGraw is currently on the road with Lady Antebellum, and while the teaming up of two of country’s biggest names has resulted in sold-out venues across the nation, McGraw will be taking the stage solo when he performs at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on March 8. Since releasing his eponymous debut album in 1993, Faith Hill’s handsome husband has sold over 40 million albums, charted over 30 number one singles and taken home more Grammys, ACM and CMA awards than can fit on his mantle! The Louisiana native has been testing his acting chops lately, with roles in Friday Night Lights and the upcoming Love Don’t Let Me Down, but he will likely be performing songs off his 10th studio album, Southern Voice, when he stops in Houston.

Although the annual Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo brings major artists to the city, plenty of stars jump at the chance to perform in Houston, such as guitar-strumming singer John Mayer. Best known for his infectious song “Your Body Is a Wonderland,” Mayer will perform at Houston’s Toyota Center on March 6. Mayer released his fourth and most recent album, Battle Studies, in November 2009 and will be performing gems off the record like “Who Says,” “Heartbreak Warfare” and “Half of My Heart,” a duet with Taylor Swift.
